Long, dark eyelashes are a beauty goal of almost every babe I know. If false lashes or eyelash extensions aren’t for you, keep reading for my top 5 favorite mascaras. We’ve all been there, bummed about the petite length of our lashes. At one point, I even tried professional eyelash extensions. And while they look fantastic, they can do real damage to your natural lashes. When it was time to taken them off, I remember thinking, “It looks like someone chopped my eyelashes in half.”
They were already pretty long to begin with, but was something I did for fun (I had major regrets). Having gone through this experience, I started to appreciate what I was given, and rather then add falsies, I opted to enhance my lashes with the GrandeLASH serum. This product is such a game changer! It did take some time to see actual progress, but I totally succeed at growing my lashes long and full.
“I have some very fond memories of watching my mother do her makeup before she’d go out on a date. I could sit there for hours and watch her as she would choose her clothes and put her makeup on. She’d take a piece of black velvet ribbon and she would scrape it with a knife so she could take the pile from the black velvet to make the lashes even thicker and clumpier.”

As a beauty blogger, you can imagine I get to try out some of the best mascaras on the market. If it’s out there, I’ve tested it. There are many I hated and tossed, but a few I keep in heavy rotation―depending on my mood. I am currently loving the NARS Climax Mascara, as its buildable volume and lightweight formula is exactly what I need for everyday use. A second favorite of mine, is the Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara by Marc Jacobs. When I’m going for a more intense beauty look, this is my go-to. It delivers ultimate volume and the look of thick, false lashes without any parabens.
The other alternatives I’ve listed below are a few that I have used in the past. Be sure to click each product to read its benefits.
