There is no style icon quite like Molly Ringwald. Known for her signature pout, bold red hair, and her infamous roles in Sixteen Candles, brat pack film The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink, Molly was every boy’s teen-age crush. During the late eighties when I caught up with her films I recognized Molly for her effortless style. Her wayfarers, flower crowns, hipster hats, and floral denim all continue to remain relevant in today’s fashion. Did you know the fluent-in-French princess-of-pink star turned down the Julia Roberts role in Pretty Woman and the Demi Moore role in Ghost? She however managed to make the cover of TIME Magazine in 1986. For these reasons and more, Molly Ringwald will forever be a legendary icon to me. Happy #ThrowbackThursday, eighties babies!
