Tarot card reading was something I picked up in 2012. I frequently visited Enchantments in East Village for specialty candles, and always flirted with the idea of buying a tarot deck. If you’ve never been to the occult-themed shop, you’re in for a treat. Offering custom-carved candles, incense, books, and a variety of goods including (my first deck) Thoth by Aleister Crowley, Enchantments definitely encouraged my curiosity.
These days I dabble here and there with cards by The Wild Unknown, and since I rely on my HP Spectre for so many other things, when I practice my craft, I just research each card’s meaning online. Playing with tarot cards is really so much fun! It has gotten more exciting now that I have a beautiful instrument to guide me. Armed with my crystals, matcha latte, and cards, my Spectre (Suki) has now become my curiosity’s source of encouragement.
I am getting so good, Suki and I just might start a card reading business![pipdig_left]
