Let the festivities begin! Thanksgiving is well on its way, along with the celebration of new holiday traditions. This year I will be recognizing Friendsgiving, the celebration of Thanksgiving dinner with your friends. This usually occurs on the Wednesday before or the Friday after Thanksgiving Day (Black Friday), since Thanksgiving is usually reserved for family gatherings. I am so excited about finally celebrating the holiday with them, that I keep thinking of fun projects my friend’s and I can do together. So, I took to my favorite DIY blogs and went to town.
Pam Garrison provides a step-by-step tutorial of her DIY Place Cards, and even though Kenzie Amick’s painted pumpkins were intended for Halloween, I absolutely love the colors (featured above). I also found really cool Thanksgiving placemats via Oh My Deer. Pencils provided, we can all share a list of the things we are thankful for this year. One thing I am thankful for is the delectable Apple Galette recipe I found, made with brown butter and thyme. It is incredibly easy to make and insanely perfect for Thanksgiving!
Target just launched its Holiday campaign called, “My Kind of Holiday,” which celebrates everyone’s unique Holiday rituals. While I am creating new ones with friends, at their fairly furnished apartment, my best boys are in dire need of dish and glassware. The plan is to get my guys the Mercury Glass table setting and Ombre Glass cups. Both are elegant and ideal and will help make our holiday dinner truly special.
