Just about two weeks ago, I attended a very luxe event and afterparty to celebrate the new limited-edition John Hardy x Adwoa Aboah capsule collection, with Farfetch. Located at the John Hardy headquarters, a room full of influencers (including myself) were guided through the collection of metal and stones. Each piece was more exquisite than the next, and made by hand in Bali. Which brings me to the Indonesian theme of it all. From visiting the John Hardy link-station to receiving Swarovski studs on my hands, the entire night spoke to the Bali-rich heritage and traditions.
“Creating pieces that spoke to my authenticity and that could be personalized in a variety of ways was very important to me. Jewelry has transformative power.” ―Adwoa Aboah

You can find the full collection on Farfetch right now, including a few exclusive pieces. The John Hardy x Adwoa Aboah capsule collection was intended to be a powerful tool for self-expression by mixing and matching, layering and stacking to create your unique personal aesthetic. What spoke to me most, was the use of raw stones. Each one, selected for their affirming properties; pyrite, black tourmaline and hematite offer grounding and strength, whereas pink tourmaline, rose quartz and spinel extend color, energy and light. I got to play with a few of these stones at the John Hardy showroom.

“Jewelry has transformative power. It communicates your mood, story and expression. Each piece was designed to stand out on its own yet complement the others to show depth and dimension.” ―Adwoa Aboah

After trying on all the jewelry, we got to ride in tuk tuks, to the party. Replete with Indonesian treats, we made our way downtown in Bali style. The ‘Night Market’ event was yet another ode to Asian culture. The place was filled with market stands, where you could purchase items (with coins given at entry), like herbs and spices. There was even a crystal-reading station, featuring The Hoodwitch. Besides receiving my beautiful necklace, this was my favorite part. A big thank you goes out to my Farfetch family for such an amazing time!
