I am taking my health more seriously this year. As a promise to myself, I am working out regularly as well as continuing a healthy diet. I have also been looking for new ways to challenge myself as I mostly workout at home. I came across the 30 Day Squat Challenge a few months ago on Pinterest, but at that time I wasn’t committed to any routine. It wasn’t until a friend began tweeting about her progress that I remembered I wanted to try it.
The 30 Day Squat Challenge is precisely what it implies: 1 month of squatting like Ryan Gosling is behind you. Squats are the difference between having a butt and having an ass. It’s the perfect exercise to shape your bum and legs. Squats will also help strengthen abdominals and lower back muscles. So if you want to be fit and lean, squats are definitely the way to go!
Take a picture of your legs and bum on day one, so you can compare your progress. Remember to mix the squats in with a regular workout routine and a healthy diet, especially if you are trying to lose weight during the process. It will be tough and you might even want to quit, but remember the satisfaction of completing this challenge will make it so worthwhile, and so will that new ass!
- Warm up and stretch before exercising.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, heels pressed firmly to the floor. Hold your hands out in front of you for balance.
- Bend your knees, lowering your hips deeply, bringing your thighs parallel with the floor, keeping your weight back in your heels.
- Then rise back up, straightening your legs completely, squeezing your glutes on your way up.
